Summary

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol Headquarters, Strategic Communications Directorate (STRATCOM), located in Washington, District of Columbia.

This position will allow you to deploy and sustain a comprehensive suite of technologies and services to effectively and efficiently accomplish the USBP mission. This position starts at a salary of $139,395.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $181,216.00 (GS-14, Step 10) with promotion potential to $181,216.00 (GS-14 Step 10).

In this Program Analyst position, you will serve as a program advisor to management on various functions and activities requiring application of qualitative and quantitative methods for assessment of management processes, systems, and mission support programs. Typical work assignments include:

  • Coordinating all domain business management functions and ensures projects are coordinated as appropriate and following the same processes

  • Performing the full range of management analysis by applying established analysis principles, concepts and practices to a wide variety of difficult problems

  • Develops and implements program policies and guidelines based of the analysis to improve functions,

    productivity, and overall efficiency

  • Carrying out the design and implementation of planning and controls for submission of data, including forming the basis of program resource requests and decisions
